Compare Thanet Schools league tables, 2014 GCSE results newly published.

I think the new results were actually released yesterday, click on this link http://www.education.gov.uk/cgi-bin/schools/performance/search.pl?postcode=ct11+8ny&distance=5&phase=all&searchType=postcode then click on the individual schools name.

Some of the Thanet schools seem have dropped a very long way from the 2013 results to the 2014 results.

A summary of the main gist of the thing below, if it works, tables in blogger is a learning curve.

Sorry about the way the tables have appeared it is evident that I would fail GCSE ITC, I learnt on an IBM mainframe class of 68 and something seems to have changed.

  1. You've omitted King Ethelbert's School.

  2. Apologies anon I have added it and I am not surprised to see it improving. When my youngest children were about to move up to secondary school, a couple of years ago, I took the opportunity to attend all of the school open days and it had the look and feel of a school on the way up.

  3. Unfortunately they're a bit worthless as they are only the first exams the kids did. It's a bit like saying Mr Gove failed his driving test (even though he passed 7th time). A lot of those scores are much higher on final summer results that the coalition scrapped from being reported.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
